Tub and Shower Trim Installation – Tampa, FL

On July 11, 2025, our plumbing technician completed a scheduled service in Tampa, FL to install a new tub and shower trim kit supplied by the homeowner. The customer needed the final valve trim properly aligned and sealed to complete their bathroom renovation. We ensured a precise fit, checked for proper valve seating, and verified full functionality of both tub and shower modes. This job passed second rough inspection prior to our arrival, so trim was the final touch to prepare for the bathroom’s completion.

Our technician followed standard plumbing protocols to protect surrounding tile finishes, adjusted the handle cartridge for optimal control, and leak-tested all connections under full pressure. This type of job showcases how professional trim installation can finish off a remodel cleanly and correctly the first time.

Trim kit preparation

Here we’re prepping the valve and aligning the customer-supplied trim kit. Making sure that the cartridge and trim plate match the valve rough-in is critical before securing everything to the wall.

Tub spout and valve inspection

During this stage, we inspected the valve depth behind the tile and verified proper sealing around the new trim. We also ensured the tub spout was level and secure against the wall surface.

Shower valve trim test

Once the handle was secured, we turned on the main water supply and tested both temperature balance and flow pressure through the shower head and tub spout to ensure smooth operation.

Final trim install in bathroom

Final trim completed and sealed. Customer-supplied handle and plate were installed flush to the tile wall, and everything was tested for performance, leak-free function, and visual alignment.
